An Air Source Heat Pump takes it heat from the air, unlike a ground source heat pump which takes many weeks to install while large areas of land are dug up or bore-holes are drilled, causing a huge amount of disruption and unnecessary cost, an air source heat pump can typically be installed in a day.  The external unit for the domestic heating can easily be located out of sight around the house.
