What is a Plasma Filter?

The Plasma Filter is arguably the most effective method of filtration.  Initially developed for hospitals to lower the risk of illness and allergies.  The plasma filter uses electric fields and discharges ion that tackles bacterias and viruses. In other words, a plasma filters will periodically energise the electrodes that will kill the captured organisms.  The EcoAir plasma filters can filtrate up to 95% of such organisms, not to mention dust, smoke and pollen particles that are captured by the electrostatic filter.

Can Plasma Filter filtrate bacterias and viruses?

Of course, this is what Plasma Filters are designed to do. Bacterias sizes are typically a few micrometres and viruses can be a hundredth of this size.  A non plasma filter are generally ineffective filtration system for particles at these sizes and can only allow such particles to propogate on the filter surface, making frequent filter changes necessary.

How can I clean my Plasma Filters?

Our plasma filters have electrodes that are factory-fitted and will last for many many years and the performance is not compromised.  There is no need to clean your Plasma filter.
