Who will benefit

Any person who requires the minimum legal requirement to work on air conditioning and refrigeration equipment including air conditioning and refrigeration engineers and technicians, all plant engineers, apprentices, personnel concerned with the recovery, charging or disposal of refrigerants and new comers into the industry.

The F Gas Regulations, which came into force on 4th July 2007, make it illegal for any person or company to recover HFC refrigerants without being certified as competent. It is a legal requirement therefore to hold a certificate in Safe Handling of Refrigerants for anyone wishing to recover or charge, with refrigerant, any type of air conditioning system. The F Gas Regulations go further in July 2008, making the installation of air conditioning equipment illegal without this refrigerant handling license. There is no exemption, regardless of the size of the company!

 

F-Gas Catagory I (2 days - £395.00 £295.00) or (5 days - £825.00 £695.00)

F-Gas (Category II) & Split System Installation (5 days - £825.00 £695)

This 5 day course will provide students with the underpinning knowledge and practical experience of handling refrigerants in a safe and competent manner, along with a sound knowledge of the installation and commissioning of split system air con units. It includes brazing of copper pipe work, strength & pressure testing systems, leak testing and finding, principles of heat pumps, electrical theory and basic installation checks.

This comprehensive split system air conditioning training course is ideal for any persons wishing to pursue a career in the air conditioning industry including electricians, plumbers, conservatory installers, building contractors and mechanical engineers.
