These are going to be industrial chillers and cold rooms, large VRV/VRF air conditioning systems designed for office blocks. The 2 day refrigeration training course is aimed at refrigeration engineers with an excellent knowledge of refrigeration systems, and do not need any additional training to get them up to the standard of current F-Gas regulations, they must have a vast knowledge base on the topics listed below and feel confident that they could answer questions and practically carry out something from the list below.
Taken from the ACRIB website
"ACRIB F Gas Implementation Group is taking a lead on working with UK Government on the implementation of the European Fluorinated Gases Regulation which came into force on 4th July 2007. It introduced new requirements for leak checking procedures, labelling of new equipment, reporting of production and training and certification of individuals and companies. The UK has adopted the CITB/CSkills J11-14 as the DEFRA recognised F Gas Qualification. Everyone working within scope of these regulations must have achieved their F Gas Qualification by 4th July 2011."
This means that anyone working with the recovery and charging of an air conditioning system will be working illegally. By getting this qualification any refrigeration engineer handling refrigerants will be well within the scope of the law.
All of the Refrigeration courses are held in our head offices in Bridgend, South Wales. We have eight purpose built training rigs here and can provide all of the facilities you would expect from a training centre - free tea and coffee and lunch included with the course. We don't have any satelite centres so we can continually monitor the quality of our courses and ensure that they are run to our best potential.
We do get a very good rate with a local hotel if you are booking a course from somewhere too far away to commute every day.
Course Dates are listed on the F-Gas Category 1 Training Page, these are only dates for the 5 day courses however, the 2 day courses will be held on the weeks marked call for details. As an addition to this we are also running courses over the weekends, allowing you to get trained when you have the time, rather than disrupting your normal working week and your customers schedules (Weekend training is slightly more expensive at £495 + VAT)
Give us a call on 01656 662073 to make your booking. Once the booking has been made you will be sent all of the course joining instructions including how to find us and what to bring (pens, boots, long sleeves)
