F-Gas (CAT I) Qualification Courses (City & Guilds or CITB) from £449
Cooleasy have introduced new training courses to meet the legal requirement of the F Gas regulations (EC Regulation 842/2006). Our training centre is accredited by both of the awarding bodies in the UK, City & Guilds and Construction Skills (CITB).
Cooleasy F Gas training courses are designed for both experienced air conditioning and refrigeration engineers and also candidates who are looking to cross train and gain qualifications in the air conditioning / refrigeration sector.
All personnel whose work involves the handling of refrigerants within the scope of the F Gas regulations will need to be assessed in either the C&G 2079 or the CITB equivalent by July 2011.
ACRIB are concerned that with 40,000 engineers requiring re-qualification the timescales are very tight.
There are 4 competency categories for anyone who installs, services or repairs air conditioning or refrigeration equipment. Cooleasy offer the most comprehensive Category 1 (C&G) or J11 (CITB) which covers all aspects of installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, recovery and leak checking on all refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump systems in accordance with the F-Gas Regulation EC842/2006, regardless of the weight of refrigerant in the system.
Why choose Cooleasy as my F Gas training provider?
Since opening the purpose built training centre in 2007, Cooleasy have built an enviable reputation for offering clear, precise, jargon free information to our candidates. When you combine this with excellent hands on practical training on 4 purpose built rigs you can be sure you are receiving the attention you deserve. This attention to detail is reflected in our outstanding successful completion rate. Whilst all the courses require commitment from the candidates, we are pleased to have less than a 10% failure rate. We are not suggesting any course is a walk in the park but we do offer you all the necessary tools to succeed.
Who will benefit

(using pressure, temperature, refrigerant state and rule of thumb)
- Leak test to EC1516/2007
- Maintain F-Gas log books and records
- Handle refrigerant safely and dispose of legally
- All candidates will be able to ensure systems are tight, efficient in their use of energy and meet the F-Gas legal requirements
Duration:
5 days for most candidates unless you are regularly using pressure/enthalpy charts and completing efficiency checks in which case a 3 day course is offered.
Cost

2 days - £449.00 + VAT -
For holders of a current "Safe Handeling Refrigerant" certificates
or engineers who are already in the trade.
