Service, Maintenance & Efficiency Course - (1 Day)
This 1 day course follows the CITB certification
in the safe handling of refrigerants.
On completion you will be able to safely service & maintain any split system air conditioning unit. The course is
essential for anybody who is connected with the use and application
of domestic & commercial air conditioning units. It covers the legal and environmental
implications associated with refrigerants.
This course can be taken on it's own or at the end of the 4 day split system installation course as an optional extra. Candidates will gain sufficient knowledge to service and maintain refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
What’s Covered
Service & Maintenance:
- Blowing/combing condenser fins
- Cleaning both units with cleaning fluid
- Checking for any signs of damage
- Checking draining
- Checking indoor & outdoor mounting
- Checking operation of condenser
- Check routing of cables
- Check security of cables & isolators
- Clean grills & cover
- Striping & cleaning condensate pumps
Efficiency:
- Airflow across condenser
- Checking of super heat
- Checking of system pressure
- Checking of compressor current
The course is split into 50% theory and 50% practical. You will cover the various types of units and their applications. This includes both traditional and latest alternative types environmental implications are also covered.
On completion students will be able to demonstrate competence in the safe handling of refrigerants, with minimum loss to atmosphere, and have a complete understanding in what is involved in servicing & maintaining an air conditioning unit.
The cost of this 1 day course cost is £195.00 + VAT and will include tea/coffee and a lunchtime snack. (discounted if you have already attended our 4 day course)
